A quartet of scrap bound locomotives had me heading up to the "Raith Flats" to capture Winnipeg-Toronto freight 222-17. Seen rolling alongside Highway 17 between Savanne and Raith around Mile 64, getting up to speed after a meet with a westbound hotshot at Savanne, CP 8792-6079-9021 led the train with CP SD40-2 5713- GP9u 1585- SD40-2 5700- 5721 dead in trail, presumably headed for scrap.

  1. The first 3 units are all still active with the CPKC… ironic that they’re hauling fellow SD40s to their demise! 5700 and 5721 were sold to Luzerne & Susquehanna Railway
