A pair of RS-18u's in OSR 181 and OSR 182 are working to switch PDI industries as they back up to hook on to the remainder of the train sitting on the siding. The OSR's varying array of older power is a nice change to the standard GE power of the main lines. Everyone better get your shots in soon as the OSR could soon be a thing of the past in Guelph by the end of June.

  1. We read an article on Trains.com back in late March written by Mr. Host pertaining to the subject of the OSR possibly being replaced by another operator in Guelph. Maybe he could provide an update on that? (Assuming that it is not confidential information).

  2. That’s very cool seeing the two RS-18u locomotives together!

  3. Hi all – no update yet. Waiting for outcome of the RFP bidding. I’ll be silent until we hear the next steps in the process. Anything is still possible.

I have no access to confidential information – google “Guelph Junction Railway RFP” and it’s all laid bare and public.

  4. Today it’s 182/505 f.y.i

  5. Good looking pair. Nice shot with the elevation Bill Purdy.

  6. Nice shot! Interesting how they always seem to run with the class lights on now.

  7. Thanks you all.

  8. When are they usually seen downtown? I’ve only ever seen distant glances of them from the 401.

  9. Around 10 am north and 4pm south downtown Guelph
