Caption: A pair of first generation MLW and GMD switchers shuffle cars around downtown Toronto at Bathurst Street, note the telltails for the bridge. 8138 is seen moving a hopper of coal around the yard leads, perhaps destined for the nearby coaling tower at CN Spadina, while 7030 is moving boxcars about Bathurst Yard. Note the relatively new yard tower at upper right. Built in 1949, and originally numbered 7991, the MLW S2 would be renumbered 8138 in 1956. All of these 1000hp units would be retired by 1975. The SW1200 7030 in the background was built in 1956 by GMD London, and would be renumbered 7730 in 1985. She would be retired in August 1990 and sent for scrapping.
