A late day train coming from Woodstock with autoracks for CAMI in Ingersoll - that low late summer sun just looked so good on the nose stripes of our Action Red GP9's - now history, and now OSR territory. You can replicate this shot if 8235 gets on point of the Woodstock Turn - until OSR paints it :)

  1. This IS a nice effort. I could not even place it at first.

  2. Thanks Arnold. Despite my many mistakes I pulled off a few good ones back then.

For those wondering, this is north side of the St. Thomas sub just at the east end of the Ingersoll yard. Basically in the parking lot of the “This and That” store. Of course now OSR stores a crap ton of rail and stuff here, so it’s not exactly as clean, but it has a more Shortline feel now.

  3. That’s no doubt CP 1618 in trail.

    The lighting is fantastic!

  4. Really nice scene Steve. I might have shot these two at Woodstock on slides during that time.

  5. Thanks boys. I had an unhealthy obsession with this Branchline back then – there not many CP Branchlines left in Ontario at the time and even fewer now.

    Indeed 1618 was trailing.
