Caption: A few days ago, I posted an image of CN 2020 with an RS-18 lurking in the background. Here's that unit, the 3888 switching in Ottawa, Ontario on the morning of Tuesday, July 5, 1966. It was working the switcher from CN's Walkley Yard to the CP interchange at Ottawa West while serving other CN customers in the Chaudiere Flats area. Later, at the Moncton Shops, the unit was equipped with A1A trucks from a retired MLW RSC-13 and its V12 re-rated to 1,400 horsepower because of the lighter-duty traction motors. It was renumbered 1783 and assigned to Halifax for a time. That's CP's Prince of Wales bridge from Ottawa West to Hull West barely visible above the unit.
