A CPR publicity stunt consisting of a tug of war between a 3000 H.P. steam loco and a 1000 H.P. diesel switcher, 8012.  To save drawbars it was calculated that the 8012 would win for it has a tractive effort of 68,000 pounds whereas the 2862 has 56,000 pounds with booster.  Precise date is unknown.  Between February and April.
