34 years old and into her final years of service, CP S2 7063 rattles past the Scott Street interlocking tower east of Union Station, either busy switching CP's nearby John Street yards, or working a local or transfer run through the Toronto Terminals Railway corridor downtown. The multimark of insulated heated 40' boxcar 35876 is visible, painted "Action Yellow" as per the usual CP Rail colour guidelines (insulated boxcars, cabooses and work equipment were typically painted yellow).

The illuminated arrow sign on the roof of Scott Street interlocking tower (and John Street tower) was there to notify passengers on inbound trains as to which side of the train the doors would be opening on. The sign on Scott St. lingered on, unused, into recent years.

  2. Actually, the purpose of the arrow is to tell train crew which vestibule doors to open.
