Beautiful image!
Hmm, I seem to recall 6536 was retired in CN colours after an accident, maybe this was 6526 or a similar unit?
This bridge is at mileage 81, Heron Bay Sub. A sharp eye might be able to see the mileage board about the middle of the bridge. There is a permanent 30 speed restriction on this bridge.
Nice pic! (groaner intended!)

Gentlemen: appreciate the feedback. Agree that the bridge is mile 81, given to the west is Middleton mile 82.4 and to the east is Coldwell mile 74.7, as the Rock Fall detectors are located at miles 71 to 73 and miles 81.1 to 81.7. On Aug 30/84 radio chatter indicated that CP had imposed a 20 m.p.h. limit at that location (the sheds at the west end of the bridge seem to indicate that perhaps some maintenance is in process) My notes indicate the lead unit is 6536. That being stated the 1991 Trackside Guide shows 6536 being on the Via roster (page 1-71) however same Guide page 1-72 shows 6536 as retired but no date given. Same guide shows 6526 as re-built to 6313 in 1985. Would appreciate someone looking up retirement date for 6536, and repaint date if applicable? thanks again.sdfourty.

Ah, my bad. Both 6535 and 6537 got into wrecks, but 6536 made it into VIA colours. It was 6535 that was retired in CN colours after a wreck, and 6537 was repainted into VIA but was involved in a head-on in Ingersoll that ended up snapping the cab off.
This is nothing short of amazing. Great work Steve!
