Caption: 5 of the 6 "Boise Budds" from Vermont Rail System, acquired by Destiny Tours, sit in Ontario Southland's Guelph Junction Yard while volunteers work to ready the cars for tourist service. 3 would be renovated and used on the Guelph Junction Express tourist train between Guelph and Campbellville ON in conjunction with OSR, while one resold and the other two kept as spares. Unfortunately, problems between the operators and the City of Guelph caused this train to cease operation in Fall 2011.

It is unfortunate that this train ceased operation. There have been numerous articles in the paper stating this was the City of Guelph’s worst mistake ever. They wanted tourism, but they got rid of their tourist source.
What happened to the Budds after the train stopped operating?
All cars were sold to the York Durham Heritage Railwayhttp://www.ydhr.ca/ in Uxbridge, ON.
