<B>TEMPO before TEMPO</B> CN 3887 has been modified for Tempo service. In this example, the old green and gold paint was just touched up after the changes to the short hood were complete.

Flying "Extra Flags" CPR 5008 and another GP35 haul a short train near the cemetery on York Blvd in Hamilton, ON. The date is June 1968. Note the unusual centre cupola caboose bringing up the tail end of this train.

NY4 passed under the bridge at Clanbrassil in May 1968. It was nice to see a pair of A units leading. The only thing that would make this picture better was if the lighting was on the nose of the lead loco. Unfortunately, NY4 is eastbound in the afternoon.

<B>All passenger lineup</B> TH&B 401 and 403 with NYC 4061 rest at the TH&B's Chatham St. roundhouse. The 401 and 403 represent 2/3 of the TH&B GP9's equipped for passenger service.

A pair of freshly painted RS-18m Tempo units with Tempo coaches approach Bayview Jct. The short hoods of these units were extended to house the Head End Power equipment. Interestingly, when these units were converted, they were initially painted in the CN green and gold paint scheme. They sure looked nice and shiny.

TH&B GP7's 72, 75 and 76 bring the westbound Starlight over to Aberdeen Yard in Hamilton in June 1968. These units are still very clean compared to how they looked toward the end of their life.

MLW RSC-13's 1721, 1717, 1710 are westbound at Aldershot East. These unique 1000hp locos were built with 6-wheel trucks for light rail and later converted to 4-wheel. For some reason, around Hamilton, we called these locos "Tractors." The 1700's were all gone by the mid 70's but were a common site hauling freight on the Grimsby Sub.

<B>Who said the CASO Sub (Michigan Central) was straight. </B> A Short C&O freight is westbound at Clanbrassil, ON. back in the days when a crummy brought up the tail end. This westbound freight has passed under the wooden farm access bridge and is traversing the sweeping S-curve.

MLW C-630M 2003 with 2018 pass under the Bay St. bridge into Hamilton Stuart St. yard. This is train 466, one of many trains each on the Grimsby Sub. Acorn lumber can be seen at the top left of the picture. This is now Hutch's Restaurant. The Bay St. bridge has been replaced with a new span. Where I am standing to take the picture would be about where the north track is for the new West Harbour GO station. This is now in the area of the STUART interlocking.

<b> CASO Sub</b> or as it was in 1968, the old Michigan Central. Here a GP40 leads a hodge lodge of power including a GP30 as it passes under the farm bridge at Clanbrassil, ON. The bridge and tracks are all a memory now.

NYC NY4 was always identifiable by the stock cars at the head end. Here, GP30 2193 is leading 3 GE U25B's as the train rounds the curve under the wooden farm bridge at Clanbrassil on the old Michigan Central.

<b>IN YOUR FACE</B>MLW FPA-4 6762 with an MLW FPB-4 and a Geep are coming off the Dundas Sub at Bayview Jct in May 1968. I just managed to catch the units as they filled the camera frame.
