As it comes off the bridge over the Delisle River to start up the Alexandria Sub to Ottawa VIA F40PH-3 6426 and its trailing LRC coaches(and any and all in the vicinity...) are caught in the drenching rain and half-light of an unfortunately timed summer shower.

VIA Rail Canada train 28(Ottawa-Montreal-Quebec) consisting of one of the Siemens Venture trainsets now in service(here, cab-coach 2301 on rear and SCV-42 2202 at far end) resumes eastward journey following St Lambert station stop in the heavy smoke conditions in Montreal region, rated the worst in the world Sunday, caused by forest fires in the Abitibi Region of north-west Quebec.

Originating on the CSX in Syracuse, N.Y., Canadian National Huntingdon-Montreal train M326 with AC4400CWs 506 and 316 on the point catches the dying light of day as it comes onto the Kingston Sub from the Valleyfield Sub
at CN Coteau-Est for the final 30 miles to Taschereau Yard.
