My name is Matthew Tozier and I live in the Niagara Region, I mainly shoot CN on the Grimsby and Stamford Subdivisions and occasionally hit up the Dundas or Halton if the weather's right. Favourite locomotive would definitely have to be the EMD SD90MAC.

TRRY RS-18u #1859 pulls 2 tank cars from Kemira alongside Berryman Ave, this was a part of the last run of GIO Rail (Trillium Railway) to St. Catharines. The trip was quickly cut short due to an oil leak though, which caused the return trip to be delayed by a day.

VIA 98 blasts through the Garner Road crossing for the first time in over 2 years with Amtrak P42DC #108, painted in the new Phase 6 livery for Amtrak's 50th Anniversary in 2021. Railfans were lined up along the line waiting for this exciting return of American passenger equipment to Southern Ontario.

CN L562 led by CN ES44DC #2235 heads towards Trillium's Feeder Yard along the CP Hamilton Subdivision. This section is famous for its recognizable trench section which was dug out to go under the Welland Canal.

CP ES44AC #8765 leads PRLX SD70MACs #3927 and #3964 up the Canadian Pacific Mactier Subdivision on CP 421 as it passes by the Vaughan Intermodal Terminal.

OSR GP9u's #1591 and #8235 lead the St. Thomas Job southbound towards the namesake city and through Mossley, Ontario in a beautiful December snowfall back in 2021.

CN ET44AC #3051 leads 421 down and under, then back up again past the Merritt Street bridge in Merritton, which had a small trench dug for stacks to fit under the bridge after a serious miscalculation by RTC in the 90s caused CN 154 hit the bridge with double stacks.

Nowadays CN 421 (especially this example!), 422, and even extras can be seen with long strings of double-stack containers on any of the 2 main tracks of the Grimsby Subdivision thanks to the addition.

CN M376 rolls past the Dorval VIA Station in Dorval, QC. The train is led by CN ES44AC #3926, an Ex-CitiraiL Leaser formerly numbered CREX 1424 that was bought by CN earlier in 2021.

CP GMDD SD40-2 #6043 is on the head end of the Weed Sprayer on a beautiful spring afternoon in... Wait, Niagara Falls!? Yep, you read that right. CP's vegetation control train took a trip up the Montrose Spur right up to the Junction with the Chippawa Spur in Niagara Falls. This is probably the first time a 6 axle locomotive has been on this line since November 30th, 2001.

CN 421 is seen crossing the Welland Canal at CN Seaway on the Grimsby Subdivision, as it heads towards the Port Robinson yard with a pair of General Electric Evolution Series locomotives.

CP GMDD SD40-2 #6043 leads the weed sprayer (3WED-14 I believe) up the Hamilton Sub at Brookfield after wyeing at CN Robbins. It has just completed its trip up and down the Montrose and is headed back to Welland Yard in this photo.

CN A421 slows into its final destination at Port Robinson with a total of 28 units, the 2 ET44ACs up front, the 25 variations of Dash 8s headed to Martech for scrap, plus another ET44AC serving as the mid DPU. it was quite surreal

A trio of dead-in-tow EMD SD75Ms from Norfolk Southern, Ex-Santa Fe, sit in Fort Erie awaiting to be hooked up to CN 561, The replacement train to CN 530 at the time. These units would end up at K&K Recycling in Pickering, ON. This is probably last time they were ever on the head end of a train, even if it was just for a few minutes while they switched over from NS C93 to CN 561.

CN 434 rolls up the Halton Sub towards Lower Base Line south of Milton with a duo of "Draper Taper" Dash 8-40CMs #2430 upfront and #2425 trailing. Tagging along is a dead GP9RM #7230 coming up from Sarnia. The train in the background was a westbound auto train led by another pair of Dash 8s, but of the ex ATSF variant.
