About mberry
My name is Michael Berry and I grew up in Montreal West, a town with numerous rail lines passing through. I have always been interested in trains but have been photographing them on a regular basis since 2005. I currently use a Nikon D5300 with a NIKKOR 18-300mm f/3.5-6.3G ED VR lens. For even more of my photos, check out http://www.flickr.com/photos/mtlwestrailfan/.

![Big mac attack! CN 327 passes through Dorval with a mind-blowing for Canada lashup of an SD80MAC and an SD70MAC (CSXT 4593 & CSXT 4758). CSX only has 12 SD80MAC's (one was wrecked and retired) and they usually stay in the Appalachians, so this could be the first time one enters Canada. At left is the lead engine of CP 112 on the parallel CP Vaudreuil Sub (CP 8729).](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/DSC_0226-200x150.jpg)

![CN 369, heavily loaded with woodchips, lumber, aluminum and other products from northern Quebec heads south past the famous Club Arlau curve with fall foliage adding a colorful touch. Head end power is three GMD units (CN 8884, CN 5765 & CN 9590) with two more units mid-train (CN 5676 & CN 2235) helping this train get to the next crew change at Garneau Yard without breaking a knuckle (a not uncommon occurrence on this up and down subdivision).](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/DSC_0076-200x150.jpg)

![CN 529 is almost finished its trip from Rouses Point as it heads through Montreal West towards its destination of Taschereau Yard a few miles away. It is two days worth of CP 931's (CN picks it up from CP at Rouses Point, NY) and hence has four units rather than the usual two and 476 axles total (much heavier than usual). Power is a UP SD70M leading three NS units (UP 4875, NS 8868, NS 2778 & NS 9518). At left on the transfer track is a long cut of grain cars, perhaps an entire grain train.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2015/01/DSC_1389-200x150.jpg)
