About Kevin Flood
I am from Kitchener, ON and have been photographing trains since 2000. I started with a Blacks point and shoot film camera then switched to digital in 2004/2005. I got my first DSLR in July 2007, and five years later, upgraded my camera to what I'm using currently - a Canon 60D.

![A look back to August 2008. CP 8221 and another geep lead the Ham Turn westward. Why the gates were still up, I'm not sure. This was taken at Clyde Rd. level crossing at ESS Killean.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/CP_8221c_CambridgeON_83008-Copy-200x150.jpg)

![A look back at the infamous level crossing in Cambridge - Delta Intersection (Hwy. 24). Power: CP 3057 and 3038 (I believe). Date: August 30, 2008. Note the old paint scheme on 3057/3038. It may be hard to find this paint scheme on CP GPs nowadays.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/CP_3057_CambridgeON_83008-Copy-200x150.jpg)

![CP 3062 leads CP 8248 and CP 2255 north towards the Toyota plant in Cambridge, Ontario. Note that the 8248 and 2255 are the old and the new in terms of locomotive power on recent trains on CP (in this case, the CP Waterloo Sub). CP 8248 looks derelict against the new GP20C-ECO 2255. This location was on my bucket list for quite some time. Today, I finally had the opportunity to shoot this train here: Eagle Street North and the CP Waterloo Sub, Cambridge (formerly Preston), Ontario. Time: 11:28.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/CP_3062p_CambridgeON_10Dec13-Copy-200x150.jpg)

![OSRX 6508 rests in front of the Woodstock depot. The OSR crew has just arrived and are about to fire up the engines for today's work. Interestingly, I saw them start the engines up (here) and power them down later at the Salford shops to end the day. Trailing the 6508 is GP7 number 383. The words, "Spirit of St. Jacobs," can still be noticeable under the cab window, a reminder to its previous use powering the Waterloo-St. Jacobs tourist train on the Waterloo Spur between Waterloo and St. Jacobs.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/OSRX_6508j_WoodstockON_28Sep13-200x150.jpg)

![As a follow to Geoff Elliot's photo of the CP train in 2004, here is another shot of an F-unit in operation in post-2000 modern times, over the Thames River in Woodstock, ON. Here the OSR train is backing up into Coakley to lift a string of autoracks, left by CP 147 that just passed, and drop them off at Ingersoll. If it wasn't for the modern autoracks trailing, this could also be a scene from the 1960s!](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/OSRX_6508ai_WoodstockON_28Sep13-200x150.jpg)

![Found some interesting OSR shots in my collection. I know this is in Mossley, Ontario but I don't recall the Subdivision name nor the road that this train is approaching. Someone can fill me in and provide a comment. I just got off this train after taking a ride from Beachville. I believe they are continuing their journey to Ingersoll. ![For a while I felt that this view needed to be captured with a train so I finally tried for a shot. This scene goes back two years in the summer of 2011. Here we see VIA F40PH number 6451 in its previous livery prior to the current one that drapes most or all VIA F40PHs now. Even the VIA didn't do justice to shatter the silence of this quiet scene of Westwood Drive and Westmount Road in the west end of Kitchener, in the subdivision of Victoria Hills. Note the old CN bridge with the CN noodle barely visible.](http://www.railpictures.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/VIA_6451a_KitchenerON_80411-200x150.jpg)
