Train Q10531 with 2556 leading Illinois Central 1036 (in CN paint) as it passes over the Parry Sound trestle in town with the Canada Day festival happening in town. The trestle was built in 1907 and spans the 517m gap over the Seguin River 32m high.

The Agawa Canyon Tour Train is idling at Agawa Canyon, its final destination 114 miles down the CN SOO Subdivision from Sault Ste Marie, with the 106 on point.

A SD70ACe-P6 demonstrator unit from EMD for CN, the second after class leading 8100, is solo on train Q10531 heading to Calgary Alberta, passing under the Hilda Avenue bridge with solid containers in tow. Class leading 8100 has recently been painted into a CN scheme, and rumor has it 8101 is next. It was cool to catch this unit leading a train still in its blue colors before it gets repainted. This was probably the one and only time I get to see one of these lead a train.

Former Canadian Pacific steam 136, being built in 1914 making it over a century old, is now owned by the South Simcoe Heritage Railway. This line, was built to connect 4 lakes, Ontario, Simcoe, Georgian Bay, and Huron. Now, all the line is gone except this small portion between Tottenham and Beeton where this heritage railway operates. Due to the heritage railway being non-profit, abilities for advertising are limited and not many tourists know about the railways existence, making it a good opportunity to go and see this steamer in operation.

A westbound Union Pearson Express train charges at about track speed past the Etobicoke North GO Station on its way to Pearson Airport.The station used to stand on the south side of the tracks, and the old station depot still stands with dust covering. With the opening of the Union Pearson Express, which opened the day of the photograph, the station had to be transferred over to the north side of the tracks since the UPX would use the 2 south tracks, as the spur to the destination to Pearson Airport is about a mile down the tracks and crossing over with plenty of GO Trains and other rail transport will be quite challenging and will cause plenty of delays.

On Saturday, June 6th, 2015 the Union Pearson Express opened its doors to the public with its first run out of Union Station at 05:30. I obviously ventured out nice and early and took the first run to Pearson with a few friends and then took a couple shots of a few of the new UPX trains there, including this one with #3002 leading.

The daily Toronto-Joffre eastbound manifest passes over the New Westminster Drive bridge shot from Gilmore Park. As the sun sets, I took the opportunity to get decent framing rather than just shooting the train straight on which I've done probably hundreds of times at this location.

A solo shiny General Electric product is on point of a westbound manifest with some more help from a DP unit mid train. The train on the south track is eastbound intermodal train Q14891 and is a high priority intermodal which runs daily between Chicago and Montreal. It was stationary at the time with its head end just short of Doncaster Junction which is about 3 miles down the track, likely due to either a GO Transit commuter train occupying the diamond or M36921 being on the south track and needing to diverge.

Norfolk Southern train H53 is a transfer that runs from the Buffalo, NY area into the province of Ontario via what is known as the International Bridge located in Fort Erie, ON and Buffalo, NY. The bridge spans the Niagara River, and receives around 5-7 trains on normal days. Here, H53 is pictured with 2 of NS's SD40-2 locomotives idling for a RTC clearance and the engineer taking a short break outside. Minutes later, they fired the bad boys up and took off northbound towards Welland.

Amtrak's Maple Leaf runs from New York City to Toronto in Canada and vise versa, transporting passengers who are going for all sorts of reasons - business, vacation and more. With the dropping amount of customers on the train specifically in the portion running in Canada, the train may be taken off of Amtrak's schedule or run less frequently. Currently, there is 1 run in each direction daily of the Maple Leaf. The Maple Leaf is also 1 of only 3 Amtrak invaders into the territory of Canada, leaving it a fairly unique opportunity to be able to catch one. Here, P42DC 174 is on point of now VIA 98 crossing into Canada from the USA across the Niagara River in Niagara Falls.
