CDAC 905 gets underway after a crew change at Lac-Megantic, Quebec in October of 1997. The house in the forground just escaped the devestation of the MM and A run away oil train derailment of July 6, 2013. Everything, and I mean everything to the right of this home and the third locomotive is gone from the blast of the oil tank cars.

Count'em. Seven. Yup, seven MLW's up front on this extra westbound at Sherbrooke, Quebec. I'm pretty sure just the first four are on line because it is a rule that no more than 24 operating axles were to power the freights on the eastern lines of the CPR however, it was an unwritten rule that if tonnage was heavey sometimes some of those trailing units would suddenly come to life and get over the road when needed....;)

Two months later after I shot this locomotive at Sherbrooke on VIA's Atlantic, we find it eastbound at Saint Germain-de-Gratham, Quebec, just west of Drummondville, with "The Ocean" and running at track speed in August of 1987.
