Caption: New delivery. Just arrived off CP this past week, the Orangeville-Brampton Railway's new locomotive sits on the weedy interchange track in Streetsville awaiting the biweekly local to arrive and pick her up for the trip back to Orangeville. CCGX 4009 originally started off as a plain-jane CN GP9 built by GMD London. After she was rebuilt as 4127 in the 80's, she continued in service until retired and sold to Canadian Railserve. Cando Contracting eventually picked her up for their Athabasca Northern Railway operations (if one looks closely, they can see the former ANY logos with the wolf on the nose). When CN took ANY over, 4009 was reassigned the OBRY to replace their aging non-rebuilt ex-QNSL GP9, which, as this photo was taken, was on its way south to meet 4009 for the first time.
