CP 5428 began life as Missouri Pacific 3188 in March 1975. It became Union Pacific 4188 then eventually was acquired by GATX, which numbered it GATX 2006. It was leased to CP during the mid-90’s leasing era prior to CP acquiring it and several other GATX units. After being retired by CP, 5428 was purchased by UniCapital and leased to RailTex as MNA 4081 in 1999.
