A late running and over powered Cobourg Turn.
Likely due to the Oshawa Turn being annulled, so the Coburg handled the Oshawa traffic which could explain the lateness and over powerness.
Two CP Rail MLW 1956 built RS-10s, 8572 and 8579 along with a SD40 sprint eastward through the Newtonville area.

StL&H
Do Consider:
November 12, 1995: the StL&H – wholly owned by Canadian Pacific Limited 'acquired' the CP Rail Eastern and Atlantic Regions and both were put up for sale. Prospective purchasers may have included any of: CSX, NS, G & W, Rail America, Wisconsin Central, .... ? ...note that the ICC ( USA) approved the BNSF merger July 20, 1995. And at that time Warren Buffet, through Berkshire Hathaway, owned 22% of the new BNSF. (WB through BK acquired the remaining 77% of BNSF did not already own in 2009). ...hmmm...

It does catch the eye seeing all the long hoods forward on a CP consist.
Good point: long hood forward – cab trailing – was ‘normal’ for a lot of first gen power.
