Caption: "Credit Valley Railway" 136 and 1057, the famed ex-CPR steam excursion duo, stop at Saugeen Junction on the trip back south, during a two-day Ontario Rail Association fantrip from Toronto to Owen Sound and back. The train is sitting on the Owen Sound Sub (that once ran from Owen Sound to Orangeville), with the track on the right being the Walkerton Sub (running 37 miles west from Saugeen Jct to Walkerton). Various section houses are visible at the junction.
Another steam-era branchline that was once part of CP's network serving industries in small towns all across southern Ontario, the Walkerton Sub suffered the usual ailments of most branchlines in decline during the 1980's (declining traffic volumes, increased costs), and the line was abandoned during 1983/84. The Owen Sound Sub didn't fair much better, as the original section between Owen Sound and just outside of Orangeville was abandoned in 1995.

Would this be a Bryce Lee picture??
Bruce, not this one, it and a few others came from a US source.
I’ve been informed recently that the individuals in the photo are (L-R) Tom Henry, Sherwood Hume, Ray Kennedy, CPR engineer Otis Grant and an unknown ORA member.
