Caption: Pulling out of the old Keele Loop, TTC PCC 4514 (one of the A8-class PCC cars built by CC&F in 1951, the last new PCC's purchased by the TTC) on the Rt.512 St. Clair enters Weston Road for the shot jaunt to St. Clair, where she will turn and head east bound for the Spadina Line's St. Clair West Subway Station (short turning, as per the front flap turned up). A this time, the old Keele Loop was on borrowed time, with the new Maybank (Gunns) Loop further west on St. Clair opening a year later. Advertising billboards push Rothman's Special Mild cigarettes, and Kentucky Fried Chicken featuring Colonel Sanders (who apparently lived in nearby suburban Mississauga in his final years).
In the background are CN's old West Toronto freight yards, for years often full of livestock cars and reefers to serve the nearby meat packing industry. As time went on and a lot of that industry closed up or moved out, the yards fell out of use in the late 80's and were removed. The empty land was eventually redeveloped into townhouses in the early 2000's.
