Caption: Another in the series of stations. The old Harriston station looks pretty good for being built back in 1888. It is still standing; and is receiving proper care from an active group in town; as it is currently a Senior Citizens Center, and has been for a number of years. New windows recently, new paint job 2013; and the structure is currently available for rentals. As in meetings, family gatherings, etc. It is kept in tip-top condition, surrounded by flower gardens and even a shuffleboard court. A lot of small towns could have learned from this.
The photo is looking roughly north-west. In the distance the Southampton Sub branches off to the left. All tracks are gone now; most converted to walking trails. Station is on Arthur St.

Looks like a train had been by too! Shiny rails.
I noticed that too. Pity I was never able to catch a local.
Great scene Arnold.
Thanks. Nice to know the yesterday scenes that have the appearance of tranquility are appreciated.
