Caption: Rounding a bend on the CN Stamford Sub, CP TE11 is heading towards home rails with five tanks lifted from CN Southern Yard, ultimately destined for Innophos in Port Maitland. These tanks are a regular site in Southern Yard and among the common traffic interchanged from CN to CP there. Other regular traffic CN transfers to CP in Niagara includes tanks for Chemtrade in Niagara Falls, and hoppers and gons for Washington Mills. This Arnold Mooney shot of CP crossing into Niagara Falls featured such a tank, which had me wondering if the train in Arnold's shot was making a head end set off somewhere nearby after crossing over. Pure speculation of course, but it's always enjoyable to try and piece the puzzles together.
