Caption: Taken 31 years ago this coming Remembrance Day (how appropriate!) at Intermetco (Atlas Steel) in Welland. Now that CP has taken control of the old Toronto, Hamilton & Buffalo railway and the regional is basically no more; we see the potential candidates for the scrapper.........TH&B 52, 55, 58, 54, 53 and 56. In the end, all GMD switchers found new homes. Missing in this lineup is #57, which went to London as GMD 57; and EMD NW2 units 52,53 and 54 were all scrapped, save for #51, not in this grouping, which went to the OSR in 1992.
The far background is where Trillium kept their units until recently, along Brown Rd just south of Woodlawn.

Well that’s a sad sight. I wish the “home road” had lasted longer. Interesting that 52 looks like a lighter shade then the others.
Sad….
GLad you shot this, Arnold. Where does Trillium keep their power now?!
Trillium power I THINK is back where it used to be a few years ago, down Philips Rd in Welland/Port Colborne.
