Caption: Operating on a Buffalo & Rochester NRHS excursion from Fort Erie ON, CNR U2e Northern 6167 rests at the head of her train at CN's Hamilton (James Street) Station, posed under the old MacNab Street bridge. The train has just come down the Hagersville Sub, and fantrip attendees are out on the platforms stretching their legs, capturing photos and taking in the scene at the station. A few other passenger trains are visible on the other station tracks, and the station building is visible in the background and extending over the platforms.

The excursion routing today was from Fort Erie via the Dunnville Sub to Caledonia, then down the Hagersville Sub to Hamilton (pictured here). After its stop, it would run up the Dundas Sub to Brantford, Paris Junction, and back to Brantford before taking attendees back to Fort Erie via the Dunnville Sub. There were a few run-by stops, including over the Grand River bridge in Paris.

After her brief career in fantrip and excursion service for CN in the early-mid 60's, 6167 made its final run in September 1964 (before its "tube time" ran out), and was donated to the City of Guelph where she resides on display today.

And of course, after a nearly two decade long absence of passenger trains stopping in this area, it's now home to GO Transit's West Harbour Station (slightly to the west of the old CN station), with a new station and platforms constructed where 6167 is pictured sitting.
