Action at the CN Sarnia Roundhouse on New Years Eve as CN 1437 gets a new combo/wheelset provided by the capable men of Lambton Diesel Services. To the right is the usual motly crew of Switchers owned(?) by LDS including: Esso (ex CN) 7920, General Electric (SSRX) 911, and the black one is 1515 with LDS lettering on the sides. The Esso unit has been here off and on over the years, usually for repairs, but now "6900" former EMD switcher is at the Esso plant and this one has been at LDS ever since (a few years now).

  1. Looks like they changed the whole truck assembly, there is a spare in front of the backhoe.

  2. SSRX 911 left Sarnia today.

  3. And they did change the truck assembly. In fact when WCR folks were donated 1437 their mechanical staff commented on how good of condition the wheels were in. This is the proof!
