Caption: The joint VIA-Amtrak International makes it station stop at Kitchener Station to take on a load of passengers waiting on the platform, operating westbound from Toronto Union Station to the USA over CN via Guelph/London/Sarnia routing. VIA F40PH-2D 6426 up front leads a consist of three Amtrak Superliner cars. A variety of Amtrak passenger equipment operated on this route in later years, ranging from Amfleets to Horizon cars to Superliners (and similar ex-ATSF "Hi-Level" cars) and even some of the old Metroliners converted to coaches showed up once in a while. In addition to VIA F40's, Amtrak P32-8BWH, F40PH and P42DC units were typical of the power that could show up in the years leading to the train's demise in 2004.
