Caption: It was a huge undertaking a few years ago when the often-photographed and admired old Goderich CPR station was lifted up and moved. Not very far, mind you, a couple of hundred feet; onto a new foundation built in order the station now face along its' length the beach of Lake Huron. Here, it became the Beach St. Station restaurant, situation on Cove Rd, actually. And as can be seen a large deck attached, one can drink away to the summer sunsets. A most beautiful view over the lake. Having been there for dinner, I can attest to the fact it is a gem of a renovation, and suggest anyone who has the time to give this place a try. Shameless plug, I suppose; but it IS part of railroad history and I hope this venture is a complete success.

Very nice station..not the usual style
Is it wine-o-clock yet?
Excellent photo! Their address is 2 Beach Street and it appears this was a new street created when they built the new foundation for it.
You should send them this photo to replace the one on their website home page and their Facebook page.
I remember sleeping in this building (at its old location). I troubles me to see the one of most unique yards on the London Division gone, but at least they saved this station.
