Caption: At Guelph Line in Campbellville, a station once sat here. See this sequence by Bill Thomson from 1964 of the last Train 21 on the Galt subdivision at Campbellvile here to give you an idea of what it looked like. Funny how a place manages to hold onto its heritage. The station may be gone, and the area is all grown in, but a Caboose is shown in the photo as a homage to the continuing railway heritage of the area. I know I did this shot back in May with ago with DH 7303 but this rail train was another fitting subject on a very dark, very cold day in late Summer.

Excellent photo Host
Were you on your ..”lunch”.. Stevie ?
Yes! Campbellville is not far from Guelph.
A friend told me they went out around 1000 and we knew where they were dropping (Milton West) as a result. I can go down there, get a shot and get back in time easily. Lucky for me I heard over radio they had to clear the main for 1300 so timing was perfect. They cleared and parked for the day after only about 3 hours of dropping rails. A short shift. I’ll most certainly drop plans for a sd40-2 on CP if I know it’s happening.
