The station formerly known as "Burlington West' to the current generation of train enthusiasts had an Open House on Saturday Sept 29th which was well attended. An energetic and ambitious group of dedicated volunteers has restored this old landmark to most beautiful standards of the bygone days. The building was moved from along the CN main to its nearby permanent location on Fairview Av next to the Fire Hall a few years ago and the transformation to original appearance is marvellous. This is not just a plug for the group by the photographer, :o) but an honest opinion that the effort put in by the railroad group was much more over the top than ever expected. Next Open House tentative Oct 14-15 in conjunction with the adjacent Fire Hall. Well worth the visit. Future plans are to lay more track in out back and hopefully come into possession of a steam engine and it's tender behind, and perhaps a caboose to further enhance the desirability of this overall project as a place to visit in Burlington. Stay tuned !!

  1. This looks awesome. Glad to see it restored like this, a project I’ve been watching with interest.
