Caption: Herns alcos 300 (Ex. ETR 103) and 317 (Ex. AKMD 317) sit waiting for their next turn to climb the extremely steep, short hill to retrieve the empty Soo Line hoppers at right. This was an interesting operation, I'm not sure what substance was unloaded from the hoppers but it was a corrosive powder that could of had something to do with the former Allied/ General Chemical site which closed down in 2005. The cars always came from CP, maybe once a week, however this operation ended not long after this photo was taken. This was shot during an excursion by the Windsor Model Railroad Club on private property with permission.
