Caption: After passing through Woodbridge (no longer a scheduled stop as the station had closed a few years earlier) CP train #12, the Sudbury-Toronto section of The Canadian crosses the Humber River and heads south on the Mactier Sub, passing the white Emery mileboard sign and about to duck under the CN Halton Sub just west of Islington Avenue on the Vaughan-Toronto border.
CP repainted its 1400/1900-series passenger locomotives and stainless steel Budd equipment used on the Canadian relatively quickly after the new CP Rail branding was introduced in 1968. But, dual-service (freight/passenger) locomotives often found in passenger service, such as FP7 4066 leading, continued to operate in their older colours for years until overhaul or repainting. The trailing repainted FPA2 is likely one of the dual-service 4094-4097 group that also frequented #11/12.
The consist today is two older lightweight steel baggage cars (one still with the maroon stripe, both painted silver to match the newer Budd stainless steel cars), a baggage-dormitory car, coach, Skyline dome, a Manor and a Chateau sleeper, dining car, and the dome-observation "Park" car on the tail end.
