Caption: After some 5 plus years of midnight departures, a mid 1980\'s timetable change had the daily Vancouver train with a noon hour Toronto departure. So during Christmas week 1985 here is the new Via train #9 on the CN Bala Subdivision at approximately mile 5.4 near the old Pottery Road (west branch). Perhaps overpowered? A classic A-B-B F unit lash-up, is power aplenty for eight cars. The first B unit, given the box roof hatch, appears to be an ex CP unit. Kodak Plus X Pan b&w negative film, ASA125.
