The St. Lawrence and Atlantic Railroad yard in Richmond is rather full in this shot. CN 394 is about to arrive from Montreal and after dropping off his train he will pick up three of these tracks and head back to Montreal as CN 393 with 99 cars. In the background is the ex-Grand Trunk station. Richmond was once an important centre on the Grand Trunk, with tracks heading north to Quebec City and southeast to Portland, Maine.
