VIA 93 rolls under Plains Road bridge with one of two experimental Adtranz IC3 Flexliners that VIA was testing.  These three unit train sets were leased from the Israel Railway and were evaluated for approximately seven months on various VIA routes.  They were powered by four 400HP diesel engines and were developed in Denmark.  The tests were not successful and VIA never ordered any sets.  Compared to what we are used to seeing on Canadian rails, these looked pretty out of place!

  1. I caught a glimpse of these passing Port Credit. Was this the Saturday trip? Very cold day as I recall.
