  1. Now that’s an interesting shot. Did CPR lease these engines from SOO?

  2. Yes they were technically leased ( even if CPR owned a percentage of SOO, at that time and in later years). The winter 1963/64 among other things, they leased SOO 202, 204, 213, 214B, 221, 2201,2224A, 2225, 2228,2229,2230, 501C, 503 and Alco RSC2 371. They also leased the UP FA1/FB1′s, 2 LS&I RSD12, 3 D&H Alco switchers and 10 B&LE F7A&B’s.
