Caption: Heading westbound in the evening, TTC 5911 trails a train of sister H6 cars at Woodbine Subway Station, loaded with passengers heading for points west as well as the Yonge, University and Spadina subway lines. The evening flow from the downtown core is in the opposite direction (eastbound) on is part of the Danforth line, leaving us plenty of empty seats for our ride back downtown. This station was the original eastern end terminus of the Bloor-Danforth subway line, that ran from Keele to Woodbine and opened in 1966. This was short-lived, as a 1968 expansion would see the end terminal points pushed further out to Islington and Warden respectively.
