The CN 'table at London, Ont. CN 2101 (BBD HR616) is being manoeuvred as DEVCO 226 and 227, new from GMD, await shipment to Cape Breton Development Corp. CN 2101 had been sold to Bombardier in Feb 1982 who in turn sent it to CP to demo as their 7002. It reverted back to its CN roots in May 1985 and worked until retirement in 1998. DEVCO existed from 1968 to 2001 when it became Sydney Coal Railway. The 226 and 227 were part of a GP38-s order that had the ability to be used as emergency power generators at various Cape Breton DEVCO mines. The DVR 226 is now SCR 217 and the 227 was sold to Connell Leasing in 1998. It currently is #2014 on Central Michigan Rwy. I have forgotten the exact location of the London 'table and would appreciate correction.

  1. I’m curious what happened to this turntable too.

  2. Took a lot of pictures at the London CN roundhouse during the 1980′s. Never saw the turntable used once! Nice shot though! Good chance the turntable was cut up on site when the roundhouse was demolished.
