I used to get so-o-o-o tired of seeing these engines.....over and over again, either one or two of the six on the roster (3150-3155); in this case 3153 and 3155, but I am glad now that I bothered to take the time to pay attention to a few of them when they passed. It has been 30 years already.......these units were all retired before the end of 1983; perhaps that is why they never managed to sport the new 'VIA' paint scheme. And Bayview Junction looks very clean in this photo. Strange.........I didn't realize us fans were so well behaved back then.

  1. So well behaved? Didn’t railfans change the oil in their cars in that pit at the bottom of your picture!?!

  2. Yes, they did for awhile. But I am almost positive that pit was where the outhouse stood over up until 1976 or so. Hopefully the guilty railfans got oiled as well.
