Perhaps one of the reasons that CP's Hamilton Subdivision remains a very seldom photographed line between Hamilton and Guelph Junction is because of the lack of trains and the timing in which they run. The last time that I was able to shoot a southbound in good lighting from this location was back in November 2011. Ever since then I have tried to catch a southbound train here before the afternoon but luck did not permit until this morning. CP 246, a Sudbury-Buffalo train is seen approaching the 7th Concession East grade crossing at Mile 69 on the Hamilton Sub on a frigid but sunny January morning. After all this time it was nice to once again shoot a SB in some good morning light.
