Caption: It has already been a week since the infamous Mississauga Wreck, a disaster of epic proportions as far as the CP was concerned; and this view shows a westbound CP 5530, 4727 and C&O 3561 detouring over the CN Dundas sub approximately mile 4.2. Not the safest place to be shooting from, but, being caught walking along the outside of the RoW there wasn't much of an alternative. Certainly something one would never try today. In the distant background Sydenham Rd bridge can be seen, as well as the old Canada Crushed Stone screen-house and the remains of the overhead conveyer.

pretty good shot!
Nice vantage point…
Ahnold.. what are you standing on? Is this loads out of Canada Crushed Stone?
H.T.Grep: SHHHHHH.!!!!! don’t tell everybody!!!! I know I was a bad boy that day, but I couldn’t help meself. I do believe this was a string of MoW loads brought here for a project somewhere. The CCSL was shut down by now but the siding was often put to good use.
Cool shot, CP detour!
I actually wish I could see more of the gondolas you’re standing on, kinda different, looks a bit like drop-end gondola cars but with vehicle treadplates (raised) between the cars. The bright red colour is also more like CP Action Red…
