The Carcross to Skagway train carrying tourists, hikers, campers (like us) and an occasional freight container, is approaching its lunch-stop at Bennett, BC. A tasty lunch is awaiting us in the station dining room.

  1. Interesting – what is the story on the Container? Could this be the beginnings of freight?

  2. This dark-green one on a flat car is simply serving as a baggage car. Backpackers’ gear takes up most of its space.
But here at Bennett the train will pick up another flat car with silver boxes. They must contain some stuff for the MOW crew or the station restaurant.
