I think the answer to your question is in the upper centre…looks like a slew of workers on the tracks…whether a switch replacement or derailment, resulting in this rerouting.
Perhaps that was the case…..I would have loved to have been there earlier just to see how this move was handled….but unfortunately never did meet any fans who were.
So basically, the derailment or maintenance was west of the Bayview Junction switch, and essentially it used the wye/cowpath to get into Hamilton?
Maybe it was because of the great Mississauga derailment? But I was too young to know when that happened in 79…
