Caption: Street running? Residents of Kent St. have a front porch view of Goderich-Exeter 432 as it passes through Guelph Ontario. Kent St. and some of the homes here predated arrival of the Toronto and Guelph Railroad Company in 1856 (purchased by the Grand Trunk prior to completion). The railway bisects Kent St on both sides, on the left out of view are more homes and the other half of the Street with odd numbered houses. In the 19th century, locals describe Kent St. as a hub of commercial activity as this would have been the highway of the times with lots of signs and advertisements for the passing passenger train patrons. Today, most of the homes here are rentals. So, do you consider this street running?
