Back in those great days of A-B-A lashups to power the CN version of "The Nanticoke" we have CN 9177, 9195 and 9166 idling by the shop at CN's Stuart St. yard., about ready to put a train together which will be led by 9166 down to Nanticoke and the 9177 returning. The 9177, retired by 1989 and eventually going to National Railway Equipment; has made the news as one of the F units recently acquired by the Norfolk Southern for use on the Executive Fleet.

  1. This unit is sitting @ Cresson Steel in PA waiting for a buyer… SOU 9177 is current reporting marks.. (was to be rebuilt by NS, not happening now)

  2. And I can report seeing this CN 9177 down on the Shenandoah Valley Railroad in Staunton, VA as of January 2020. Stored. I hope it sees a life anew.
