Caption: Barrie-Collingwood Railway chase 1 of 7. In February 2009 I set out on a mission to capture the infrequent train to Collingwood, Ontario. Arriving at the BCRY shops around sunrise I talked with some employees to confirm the train would be running to Collingwood. Sometime after 08:00 the crew brought the engine out the stall and began their minor switching duties grabbing three cars destined for Canadian Mist distillers at the end of track in Collingwood. After waiting for a northbound CP the crew was given the light and proceeded westbound. A few employees followed the train westbound, protecting the grade crossings and chipping out any build up of ice in the flanges of the crossings. In this scene those employees watch as the engineer throttles up the old GP9 as their westbound train crosses the Sunnidale Tosorontio Townline along County Rd 10, just west of Angus, Ontario.
