GO 553 is in shop for a 90-day inspection, and GO 537 is fresh out of the wash bay on the other side and tied down with a 10 car set prepped to head out for the evening commuter rush later this afternoon. This was taken during the last stand for the F59PH's during the spring of 2009 as the MP40's start going into service in bigger numbers.

  1. Just wondering….what goes in that empty space on 553′s nose?

  2. The nose has the toilet & if you look in the open hatch in the photo, batteries on the sides under the steps.
