THE 8921 – the one and only MLW RSD-17 - is assisted by 8769 (MLW RS-18) on a February 1, 1980 transfer, westbound leaving Agincourt. The 2400 rated horsepower RSD-17 typically handled such transfers single handedly. Kodachrome by S.Danko.

  1. Very nice. I would have loved to see power like this. The 8769 became the 1860 when rebuilt. It then was sold to the Ontario Southland Railway as the 180. Currently it sits out of service at the Guelph Junction shop.
