Another great “Mooney Shot”. You really scrambled to get good angles on the trains in your younger days I see.
Arnold, what are you standing on to get this shot? I would have guessed an overpass.. but no.
Today’s view

Yeah….haunt me with the “younger days” stuff. But you’re right…..read on……
Isn’t it amazing that nothing shows up on an area ‘view’?? There was a pile of rock there, a bitch to stand on so I got 3 boards and some wire from the MoW across the track and made a shaky platform to get some height.
Was back there around 2006 and the location is now overgrown with evergreens a little too tall to deal with………and, well, I AM older.
You wouldn’t have a shot of the actual station that stood there? The brick building that acts as today’s station was a communications building…
Sorry Todd. It was gone first time I arrived up there in the mid-70s.
Swastika station is coming down. Demolition permit March 2021. Another one gone.
I forgot to add…yes, Todd; you are right; it was a communications building as well. On the demo permit it is identified as “Swastika station.”
