  1. Classic mid-80′s equipment. That coach/baggage car would be a great modelling project. Nice assortment od smooth end and corrugated end steam gens as well. Great shot!

The smooth were GM steel box not insulated and the corrugated were alcos insulated heated steam cars,you could work inside at -30f and not freeze to death.I know what I,m taking about for having spent the winter 69-70 at the Senneterre diesel shop.And I also wanna correct the date,it,s aug 22,85,no 2nd.

  3. That looks like CN #60027. It was built as oil-electric car 15836 in 1929 and converted into a tool car in 1960 for the auxiliary train based in Fort Erie. A photo showing the opposite side is in the book “Canadian National Color Guide To Freight And Passenger Equipment Volume 1″
